It’s a 11km walk around Methven town and surrounding area and also one of the free things to do in Methven. The walkway takes us through a mix of pine forest, along farm paddocks, and the vibrant blue canal - all the while having the view of Mt Hutt and the Southern Alps in the backdrop. It’s the perfect example of man’s modification of the Canterbury Plains. If you’re looking for a Methven walk or a Canterbury Plains walk, then the Methven Walkway is worth considering.
