The Routes to Solidarity project was born in 2009 out of the will to help black and minority ethnic (BME) women in the North of England to find their voice. The objective of the project is to enable BME women to influence policy makers to represent their needs and their communities'. This is done through training sessions, and mentoring to BME women organisations to create their own campaigns, among other things.
