There are three constants in this world: death, taxes, and Fender Masterbuilt world-beating Fenders. This particular '55 Telecaster was an absolute time-suck for us in the best way possible today--we simply couldn't put it down! It has a woody, percussive attack that gives way to just the right amount of blooming overtones: enough to sound full and rich, but not so many that you lose clarity or the all-important fundamental frequency. You can hear lots of detail on the attack, and the combination of clarity and richness makes strumming chords quite a delight! By that same token, both of these factors invite expressive, thoughtful lead playing. The bridge pickup has tight, snappy low-end, punchy midrange, and sunny trebles, while the neck pickup puts out warm, glassy lows to go with vocal, throaty midrange and transparent trebles. This terrific Telecaster will surely provide years of inspiration to the lucky Fender fanatic that takes it home!
