For the last two weeks while working on the Scott Redding Moto2, Alex Lowes and Chris 'Stalker' Walker BSB, Sam Lowes World Supersport and Tom Sykes World Superbike oil on canvas paintings I have been conducting a Tea Mug Experiment

I have done this, at my own risk so please don't try this at home without the appropriate safety measures in place, to see if not washing a mug has any beneficial or detrimental flavour effects.

I can report that no harm was done to myself, the flavour was enhanced (a bit like a seasoned wok) but I was in danger of being ostracised by the wife who was repulsed by the site of the interior of the mug many times.

Some of my art is on mugs available from the great folks at Mugs4u.com
