http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The ferry jetties for Samosir Island in the middle of Lake Toba are located in Parapat. Ferries leave from an embarkation point (too fancy a word for this spot) approximately every three hours depending on amount of trucks, cars and buses waiting to load. Wjem ferry is full, gates are closed and ferry departs for a 45-minute crossing. Life vests in full sight relieved my mind because Indonesia has a reputation of overloading ferries. The ferry pulled into Tomok on Samosir Island during a torrential downpour (what else is new)...and we began sightseeing. Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like. Thanks.
