Motsoaledi cautions citizens on Listeriosis

Health Minister Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi has announced that the Listeriosis outbreak is now over in South Africa. Motsoaledi has assured South Africans that processed foods and ready to eat meats are now safe to consume. Motsoaledi says all the country's 157 facilities that produce ready to eat foods have been inspected and have all tested negative. He says only the Enterprise plants in Polokwane and Germiston East of Johannesburg remain in question. Production at the Polokwane plant remains suspended until further notice.
