Sadly Lancelot passed away. (Sir Lancelot 2005-2019) RIP big guy, we love you and miss you, and you will be in our hearts forever. Our Crazy Rescued Pets. Pets not only help take away stress, they also help take away your bank account. Haha. We wouldn’t have it any other way with our little zoo of misfit toys. From Nina pup pup, who is an emotional puzzle, to sir Lancelot the horse that can’t run. Here’s the run down… The birds we got from a pet adoption agency set up at a store that re homes former pets that need a place to live. I wish I had more time to spend with them, but I don’t. The Pudn’ is doing good work with them, but they also are their own little flock, so they really don’t want too much human interaction anyway. Charlie Rabbit was found wandering the streets, and when his former caretaker couldn’t keep him we stepped in and have had him for 3 great years. Sasha new kitty was also adopted. Even though cats are my favorite she has been…umm let’s say interesting. No manners on that crazy cat. It has been a long two years with her, but what the heck. Nina pup pup was adopted from a shelter in Chicago after she was homeless for over a year. She is a great dog, but when we walk her, it is a chore. Her and the Sasha can play together for hours, but when the cat tries to play late at night, she sees the grumpy side of Nina for sure. Last but not least is our big 13 year old Friesian Sir Lancelot. We adopted him from the excellent Casey’s Safe Haven Horse Rescue. Before coming to casey’s he was stalled for years after some kind of injury to his legs. He may never be ridden again, but we are doing our best simply to get him in galloping shape.
