Monsters Unleashed #1 comes out this week. Is this going to be the shot in the arm Marvel needs or is it a little too late for that? Plus we get Superman, Batman, Catwoman and the continuation of The Clone Conspiracy.

This week in comic books has a few new number one issues, but a lot of the most important ones are books that have been going on for a bit. Batman #15 finishes the story of Bruce and Selina as the Bat and Cat say their goodbyes for now. In Superman #15 we see all the supermen of the DC Multiverse in danger as an unknown entity is hunting them down. Over at Marvel we have Monsters Unleashed #1, which is a new event from Cullen Bunn that unleashes some dangerous beast into the Marvel universe. Is this the event people want and were waiting for or will it be too little too late. We also get the continuation of the current Spider-Man sage in The Clone Conspiracy #4 and Amazing Spider-Man #23 as a lot more things unfold. We also get a bit more Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen in issue #15 of her solo title. The big indie books though are Descender #18, which shows our cyborg group under attack, Kill Or Be Killed #5, and a few new number ones. Curse Words #1 looks to be the standout debut with a dark and funny take on a wizard in the modern world hunting for fame and fortune.

Preview Picks is a show where I go over the books for new comic book day and what they are about. Hopefully these comic book previews give you a little insight as to whether you should grab them as well.
