In the first DC Rebirth crossover so far, Night of the Monster Men starts to take shape in Batman #7 and Nightwing #5. These giant monstrosities will be tearing Gotham apart and only the bat-family can stop it. On the other side of the scale we have new comic books like DCs Trinity #1 that is all about how Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman become friends. They even have dinner at Clarks house!

Also, Superman #7 is easily one of the best Superman stories I have ever read and I go over why that is in the short review.

The Vision #11 is ushering in the end of one of the best comic books in the market right now and I can help but feel a little sad.

Seven to Eternity #1 takes the modern idea of power through fear and misinformation, and throws it into a sic-fi/fantasy world. The art is phenomenal and if you can wrap your head around Rick Remender's story you're probably going to be picking up issue 2.

A lot of other books round out the lineup, like Amazing Spider-Man #18 which deals purely with Doctor Octopus, and All-New Wolverine #12 which is getting ready for it's next big story arc. To round things out Justice League #5 continues to disappoint and other than the art of David Marquez I can't find much good to say about Civil War II #5.

Shelf Appeal is the weekly show where I go over my new comic book day pickups and give you some insight into the stories they are telling. Tune in every Wednesday night for these weekly comic book reviews and stay up to date on what is going on in comics.
