Khazanah Nasional has dismissed claims that the former special officer to Former Prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib who has been remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday held a position in the company. The sovereign wealth fund in a statement today, also denied that the suspect, a 42-year-old Datuk, was one of its board members. The suspect was arrested at the MACC Headquarters at about 9.45pm on Sunday after his statements were recorded. Yesterday, Magistrate Shah Wira Abdul Halim granted the commission's application to place the “Datuk” under remand for a week until July 1st to assist investigations over the alleged misappropriation of funds from 1MDB. The suspect was the first to be remanded in the renewed probe into the 1MDB scandal.
