The Higgs boson found today?

Today they say they found the Higgs boson but if the Higgs boson gives the other bosons mass then how does it get its own mass? This is a bit like a chicken and egg situation. Even if they have found the so called god particle the theories do not predict the mass of the Higgs boson itself, although they do predict the necessity for it. Looks like we need to start building larger particle accelerators to find out what gives the Higgs boson its own mass or would it make more sense looking for a new theory!
