The intense, hard-hitting tale of an IRA terrorist who becomes an M15 informant in order to protect her son. After a failed bomb attack in London, Colette McVeigh (Andrea Riseborough) is captured by MI5. Bought before case officer Mac (Clive Owen), she is given a choice -- go to jail for the rest of her life or become a mole for British Intelligence. Agreeing to spy on key IRA operatives, Colette returns to Belfast and her son, but suspicion soon begins to grow about her time away. As Colette begins to betray her family and beliefs, she is forced to take increasing risks in order to keep her son safe. Meanwhile Mac is facing pressure from his superiors to get as much information from Colette as possible, even if it means putting her and her family at risk of torture and death. Set in Belfast during the 1990s, 'Shadow Dancer' is a heart-pounding story of paranoia and deception in a world where no one can be completely trusted.
