http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Skywalker Tours scheduled a day hike for us to Gotsang Meditation Cave that begins in Hemis Monastery. The same place that the Tse Chu festival was held. Lobsang described this walk as leading up to a meditation center and I thought, "All righty. Why are we going to a meditation center when I find it impossible to still my mind?" But then again, why not... Duhh...Sheila...It is a cave. An important cave that Guru Gotsang meditated in during the 12th century. Not that I knew who Guru Gotsang was, but the cave walls were covered with extremely old, crumbling and beautiful frescoes with even more surprises....
