The SABC's consultative process on the possible retrenchment of 981 permanent staff members and the non-renewal of contracts of one-thousand-200 freelancers began today. The 60-day process involves SABC management, the unions MWASA, CWU and BEMAWU, and other stakeholders. This is in line with Section 189 of the Labour Relations Act. The CCMA will facilitate the process. Our reporter Nozintombi Miya spoke to the labour unions. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
