Strike of Class-4 employees of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) run hospitals, nurses of AMC run LG hospital, sweepers and AMTS drivers/conductors is over. This development took place today afternoon after a meeting of Naukar Mandal leaders with city Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee Chairman. Naukar Mandal is the union of employees who went on strike. It is traditionally pro-BJP union. The union leader in his talk to media persons after the meeting(watch video) said that the union has been promised that all pending issues will be resolved. He said, AMC has agreed to withdraw terminations of nurses who went on strike and cases filed in police stations in connection with strike.
