Strapped a Wee Video Camera to my Cosmic Flyer today. It was quite "gusty" and the airplane danced all over the sky (its throttle rudder only which is not good for gusty conditions since you can't control pitch) but it managed well enough and was a lot of fun. I managed to get it to barrel roll and loop twice as well as a few tip turns. Toward the end the wind really picked up and in trying to bring it down the wing tip caught the acme sign but it was only slightly damaged and the camera is ok. I will fly it again tomorrow if the wind gods behave themselves :-) The video is soso. the frame rate was a wee lower than I though and the dancing around and low light levels did not help. Hopefully sunday I will get a bit of bright sunshine and low winds and try again. I chased some birds around too. this thing might even be able to loft 2 camera's so I may try one facing forward in case I get more prey to chase.
