But it's all worth it once you arrive in the gorgeous tourist and mountaineering mecca of Chamonix, France. Glaciers, Mont-Blanc (the highest mountain in Europe,) huge trams up the mountains, gondolas, chair lifts, hiking and mountain biking trails everywhere you look along with the excellent French cuisine.
