The relaxation of the 30-cap rule for overseas-based players, has re-ignited the Springbok career of tighthead prop, Vincent Koch. This rule, introduced last year, prevented a Springbok coach from selecting overseas based players with less than 30 Springbok caps. It was implemented to try and stop players from leaving the country, but SARU has given Erasmus leeway and that's why Koch, with nine Springbok caps, was recalled the the national squad.
