I know this is nothing special compared to the Midwest, but for Seattle this was a pretty good lightning show. As is typical for this area, these storms were forming within an elevated layer of unstable air that was moving up the coast from the south. Also typical, the high cloud base (around 10,000 feet) favored more IC than CG lighting.
