WWF-Kenya launches campaign to plant 47 million trees across the 47 counties

The World Wide Fund for Nature's Kenya chapter-WWF-Kenya  has launched a one billion seedling plantation drive at Huruma primary school in Nairobi county with the aim of ensuring that at least ten percent of the country is covered with forest.

WWF has partnered with the Kenya Scout Association.The Kenya scout association CEO has confirmed that their aim is to plant 47 million trees across the 47 counties.
They said the drive will not only focus on schools but will involve communities which will be drawn to participating in the planting and thereafter, maintenance. The campaign is dubbed keep Kenya breathing.
