Nanluoguxiang (Chinese: 南锣鼓巷; pinyin: nánluógǔxiàng) is a narrow alley, that gives its name to an old part of the Beijing city centre, that has traditional architecture both new and old. The neighborhood contains many typical narrow streets known as hutong. It is located in the Dongcheng district. The alley itself is approximately 800m long, running from East Gulou Street in the north to Di'anmen East Street in the south. From our hotel (Renaissance Beijing Capital), we took a taxi to the NanLuoGuXiang Hutong. As the roads were pretty jammed, it took us almost an hour to get here, even though the absolute distance was probably around 10km. We were in Beijing China, on a couple trip. Here are my blog posts.
