A middle aged man was shoot and killed by armed thugs in Thamanda village in Kikuyu.This the second person to be shot in a span of two weeks allegedly by a gang of five young thugs terrorising residents of the village along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. In the Thursday night attack, the thugs broke into a homestead, stole cash and households items before going to a bar where the victim Amos Wachira and others were drinking. The thugs then shot Wachira before destroying property at the bar.
