Falchion: backstab/bloodlust/2nd wind
Xbow: mastercrafted/ammo/hail of doom
runspeed/anti gas/anti gunner

Per request, I played some WH. I was going to go for broke on a KB rapier before I looked up the stats...why does it only hit two targets? Ok falchion it is...
Result of a few hours practice: Finished the triple crown (waterfront, ramparts, smugglers) without dropping a map, did a deep Enemy run to lose to double assassin horde at pit then took down Garden on the third attempt. I am NOT a WH player. Why is he so damn tall!! I felt like I wasn't going to fit through the door...falchion plays much like every other 1h sword: swing, swing then block cancel + dodge, except that the block cancel is lightning quick and headshots are easier and much more rewarding. I definitely was not optimizing the weapon, I will once again direct you to Grim's true solo of dungeon or any of the DW duo we did together.
Thoughts: Overall the combo was obviously VERY powerful but in an...almost single dimensional manner. It felt like falchion/xbow had almost overwhelming slaying power which translated into extreme PACE, you can push through a whole scene holding +W nearly the entire time. The weaknesses of the combo only become apparent when the shit hits the fan--you have limited ability to break out of a surround and it is tough to take out an assassin or packmaster buried in a horde. To play this combo well you need to play it as Grim tends too, aggression first, second and third. Do not hesitate at the door of the scene! Slay the clans while spotting the SV then pop the headshot and reload while running right at the next group. Rush AT hordes and slay them to keep the numbers down--if you slay almost as fast as they arrive you will always stay in the sweep spot for this combo which is medium-low density then SV repeat. As usual for 1h set-ups, clan rats greater than slave rats greater than SV for target priority when in melee--bait the SV into attacking then pull to the side and slaughter the clans then repeat. Anticipate when density is just about to get our of hand and then use bombs and pots aggressively. Second wind is here as your only non-consumable panic button and to give you an out for protracted horde kiting (chain dodging means no natural stamina regen). Killing traits like kb etc are not at all necessary.
For assassin it is usually easier to bait it in, side step and melee then to try and snipe. Packmasters take 1 headshot from xbow or falchion, just make sure that you are aware of your flanks as packmaster approaches--you need to have one clear to move.
