In this episode, Phoenix continues his investigation about what really happened to Mia. He has a strange encounter with the main witness, April May (who may, in fact, be a demon), and then he pleads with Grossberg to accept Maya's case. When he refuses, Phoenix makes the decision to help Maya. While investigating the Gatewater Hotel, he finds a wiretap left in a drawer by Miss May. Could she have been tapping Mia's phone?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (known in Japan as Gyakuten Saiban) is a visual novel court drama developed and published by Capcom. It is the first game in the Ace Attorney series and was originally released for the Gameboy Advance, though only in Japan. The DS version was released several years later and was finally brought to the US and Europe. The game centers around Phoenix Wright, a rookie defense attorney whose goal is to prove that his clients are not guilty by whatever means necessary. The gameplay features two parts: investigations and trials. During investigations, Phoenix must investigate the crime scene, interrogate witnesses, and find critical evidence that will later be used in the trial. During the trial sections, Phoenix listens to a witness's testimony and must find any contradictions and inconsistencies stated by the witness. Phoenix will cross-examine the witness to point out these contradictions (OBJECTION!) using evidence gathered during the investigation in the hopes of finding the truth and proving his client's innocence. It isn't easy, though. The prosecutor's job is to prove the client guilty. Phoenix goes head-to-head with pushovers like Winston Payne but also seasoned vets like his childhood friend Miles Edgeworth and infamous prosecutor Manfred von Karma. Along the way, Phoenix has help from his boss Mia Fey, her younger sister the spirit medium Maya Faye, Detective Gumshoe, scientific investigator Ema Skye, and a host of other unique characters.
