Details below lyrics. I'm sorry, what was that? Yes, of course I was listening But the TV is blaring I can barely even think Let's stop all the noise Let's stash all the toys And share one moment in quiet The phone is ringing, just a sec This will only take one minute Damn, it's important How 'bout a rain check? Let's stop all the noise Let's stash all the toys And share one moment in quiet ------------------------------------------ The inspiration for this song came one day when I had to admit to my wife that I was focusing so much on the computer that I hadn't been listened to her. From there, it wasn't too hard tapping into all the times our devices connect us to the world while walling us off from those we love the most. I've had this project kicking around for years, but never felt I had fully captured it. The few times I thought it was done I'd realize shortly afterward that it wasn't close. Like "Fingertips," the time away from the studio was crucial in resetting my ears and finally pushing the song through. None of the footage is mine, nor do I know the children shown. I just thought it played well into the message. Here is a link to a playlist I created with all the videos used, please check out their channels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wqvTUw7yLw&list=PLguNz3axmX9Aiia5BkVfWSOumUBwA2_Ws&index=1 Let me know if the link doesn't work or if it only brings you to one song. Thanks in advance for listening and for your kind comments. I hope you are and yours are well. Justin
