The quality of graduate is intrinsically linked to the quality of their education. The Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth acknowledges the value of good educators and now has diplomas in place to strengthen this field in the TVET sectors. It is the first university in South Africa to offer the Advanced Diploma in Technical and Vocational Teaching. This two year/part time study diploma will provide lecturers in the TVET sector with a professional lecturer's qualification.
