We had popped for the expense twice before (wincing at the cost each time) but both flights were cancelled because of bad weather. That made husband, Steve very happy since he is deathly afraid of heights. Chiang Mai, Thailand has good ballooning weather during the dry season and what better way to see out 2009, another decade and usher in 2010 than to take a hot air balloon ride. I never dreamt that so much preparation goes into inflating the balloon and jumped every time the Captain hit the burners. Come along with us as we experience our once-in-a-lifetime adventure....
