Maize farmers in Trans-Nzoia county have raised concern over their unpaid dues as promised by the national government saying they are tired of being taken on a wild goose chase over payment for their maize produce. They say they are dissapointed with the government for delaying the payments despite the fact that they have provided valid documents indicating that the National Cereals and Produce Board had received their maize. A team of MPs from the Rift-Valley has also threatened to lead street protests on Monday if the Government fails to release the 1.4 billion shillings to pay maize farmers.
