Senegal observes international deaf week

The world is observing the International Week of the Deaf. The World Health Organisation says 3-hundred and 60-million people suffer from incapacitating hearing loss. In Senegal, 0.6 percent of  the population is deaf. The country has organised an exhibition to raise awareness about the rights of deaf people. The West African nation is set to hold presidential elections in February 2019. One of the national themes is political participation in the electoral process for the hearing impaired
