Romania is engulfed in a growing political crisis just days before it assumes the EU’s rotating presidency. 

Romania's parliament will vote on a no-confidence motion today in response to the ruling coalition government's increasingly volatile anti-EU rhetoric. 
The government is also working to push through a controversial decree that pardons corrupt politicians setting the stage for renewed public protests and a possible clash with Brussels.
