Located in the Valencia neighborhood of Santa Clarita, California, Six Flags Magic Mountain opened on May 30, 1971, initially as Magic Mountain. Six Flags purchased the park in 1979 and added its name to the title.  

With 19 roller coasters, Six Flags Magic Mountain holds the world record for the most roller coasters in a single amusement park. In 2015, the park welcomed approximately 3.1 million visitors, placing it eighteenth in North American attendance rankings.
