1. If a Pokemon faints, they die, which is bad I guess.

2. Only the first Pokemon of any route or area can be caught. If I already have captured the Pokemon I encounter, then it doesn't count and a new encounter must be found. Also, if a Pokemon in my party requires a partner, I am limited to a Pokemon that is of their opposite gender in order to pair with them.

3. Pokemon are in pairs: one male and one female. When in battle, I can only switch out to my active Pokemon's partner. If my active Pokemon dies, then the partner must finish the battle or suffer the same fate. Sounds simple enough, but it's actually quite difficult.

4. Items can't be used during battle, because relying on healing is for noobs.

5. Pokemon cannot surpass the level of the highest leveled Pokemon of the next Gym Leader. If they do, ehh... we'll figure it out what happens when the time comes.
