http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com A full day and two nights was more than enough "remoteness" for us since the nomads were off nomading in the high mountains far, far away. Instead, we packed up the 4x4 and headed back in the direction of Sumdo before turning off into the indescribable Puga Valley. Still on the high Rupshu Plateau with fat marmots (related to squirrels) and Changpa nomads camped by a river still filled with snow and ice. Flocks of pashmina goats and yaks, hot springs, and large expanses of salt until we reached the first pass of the day, the Poloklongla Pass that leads into the Tso Kar Valley.
