For the One who has held us together.

I didn't release a "weekly song" this past Monday because I was back home on Maui (and then the Big Island of Hawaii) to mourn the passing of my tutu Hawea.  It was actually a BLESSED gathering of family from all the different islands: Kaua'i, O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i.  Some knew her as Auntie Hawea, some knew her as Mrs. Waia'u the English teacher at Hilo High, others knew her as a member of the Haili Congregational Church choir.  Then there are those of us who knew her as mom and grandma.  We miss her.  We miss her deeply.  Her passing initiated a deep healing and reconciliation process in our family...between God and human :) and between brothers and sisters.  It was an emotionally tiring trip but so good...so, so good.
