School Bus Association Agrees Not To Raise Fee

Members of the Organisations of Peninsular Malaysia School Bus Operators Associations have agreed not to raise the school bus fees for next year.

However, its Chairman, Ahmad Fauzi Murad said, the association hopes their members will be entitled for subsidised fuel to keep their cost down.

The decision to maintain the school bus fee for 2018 was reached at the association's annual general meeting in Johor Bahru, this morning.

Ahmad Fauzi also urged the government to offer a RM 10,000 rebate for school bus operators in buying new buses.

The last time the government offered the rebate was in 2012.

To date, there are some 18,000 school bus operators in the country involving 180,000 school buses.
