A major pollutant in India is plastics. Plastics are polluting the environment and this is where Apeksha felt she needed to make a positive change. She started a project called Replacing Plastic Bags by Paper Bags. She created colourful paper bags but soon realized the bags couldn't withstand heavy weights. To counter this she placed Ivory sheets inside the paper bags so that it could carry heavy materials as that of the plastics bags. She distributed nearly 30 bags to women who usually do the household shopping.
