Day 11 in the Atlantic, Day 28 in the Eastern Pacific
One tropical system remains in the northern hemisphere, in the form of Tropical Storm Yagi, currently with sustained winds of 60mph and a minimum central pressure of 985mb.
The storm has now passed clear of the Japanese Daito islands, and is now expected to turn almost back on itself in two or three days south of mainland Japan, where it will dissipate. The storm could deliver heavy rains to the south coast of mainland Japan, as well as the Izu and perhaps the Ogasawara islands.
Whatever's left of Andrea is now approaching Europe, and is likely to be absorbed by an area of low pressure on its approach to the west coast of Ireland. From there, the storm is expected to move northwards towards Iceland, or northeastwards through northern Scotland.
