Immerse yourself in Jan Brueghel the Elder’s dramatic depiction of Jonah being cast overboard. CGI animation combines with a reading from the Bible story Jonah and the Whale to bring the story to life and reveal why one of Brueghel’s earliest works was so pioneering in the 17th century. ‘An Extensive Coastal Landscape with Fishermen Landing and Selling Their Catch, Jonah Being Cast Overboard Offshore’ is a highlight of our upcoming Old Masters Evening Sale (5 December | London).
