Impact of the Eskom strike

As mentioned in the news, power utility Eskom, say the system remains constrained, with the risk of Stage One load shedding remaining for the next few days, with the grid needing at least ten days to stabilise. Wage negotiations for Eskom workers are to resume to ensure the security of electricity supply. This is after the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA), Solidarity, NUM and Eskom management met with Pravin Gordhan, the Minister of Public Enterprise on Saturday. Meanwhile, Eskom has announced its stage one load shedding schedule starting yesterday, and it will take approximately ten days to recover from the strike effects.
