Cosmic ray detector made up from misc. parts. Board from Berkeley University Cosmic ray projects and other parts salvaged from decommission equipment. Photomultipliers are end view type coupled to plastic scintillators and taped up to prevent light contamination. This device is used to detect Cosmic ray particles from the Universe, when Cosmic rays enter the atmosphere, they can collide with Atoms and break up into other particles such as Muons which are detectable with a scintillator and photomultipliers.
