Roland Corporation exhibited the "F-1" video field recorder at Inter BEE 2008.

The F-1 is an external field recorder that can record data on an HDD or SSD by connecting with a tape recording video camera. In addition to stabilized HDV/DV video recording through the IEEE1394 standard, the F-1 is equipped with two independent analog audio input systems to enable uncompressed voice recording.

The F-1 is also equipped with a LAN terminal so multiple F-1 recorders can be controlled via a network.
