Presumably this is the same Cal Waymon that was involved with The Incredibles of "Standing Here Crying" fame. This sounds later than "...Crying", possibly early 70s, and while it may not be as intense as "...Crying" it is absolutely gorgeous. Cal sounds heartbroken that the woman he loves is in love with someone else and gives a pain-drenched, tortured lead vocal. But the agony is offset slightly by the beautiful arrangement - check out those sleepy horns and the lovely organ solo.
