Disney's epic true-life family adventure following the majestic feline kings of the African Savanna. In the north of Kenya's Masai Mara national reserve, Sita the fearless cheetah has just given birth to five cubs. But this beautiful solitary big cat must keep her mischievous newborns safe from predators if they are to survive. Further south, the River Pride pack of lionesses hunt for food. But six-month-old cub Mara faces an uncertain future after her mother, Layla, is injured by a zebra. Meanwhile, the pride's proud leader, broken-toothed Fang, patrols their territory. But his authority is now threatened by a once-banished lion looking to expand his empire. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, this new Disneynature film tells an amazing real-life Lion King story. Focussing on the family bonds of these amazing animals, 'African Cats' looks absolutely stunning on the big screen. That's hardly surprising, given that co-director Alastair Fothergill is the former head of the BBC's world-renowned Natural History Unit.
