Harrison Ford returns to space for an epic sci fi thriller in which elite soldiers are trained to battle alien invaders. When an insectoid alien race known as the Formics attempted an invasion of the Earth, they were only narrowly defeated. Mankind's greatest hero was International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), without whom all would have been lost. Now Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) is determined that we should be ready for the Formics' inevitable return. So he has established a Battle School in the hope of finding the next Mazer Rackham. Shy Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is swiftly identified as the star pupil thanks to his brilliant strategic mind. But will he withstand the rigours of training? At stake is nothing less than the future of the human race. 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' director Gavin Hood's thrill-packed adaptation of Orson Scott Card's prescient sci fi novel boasts a brilliant multi-generational cast.
