This video shows off the new functionality for dispensers available from the 13w04a snapshot. It allows for manual or automatic farming of giant/huge mushrooms (no harvesting yet).

Use mycellium with mushrooms planted all around the empty plot to make it grow automatically even faster! Also it's possible to use Silk touch to get building blocks out of those giant mushrooms.

If you plant both types of mushrooms the machine will grow one of them randomly, so you can use it as a sort of "variable" decoration ;
