KAA banking on offloading cargo handling to Eldoret airport

Kenya Airports Authority is betting on the de-centralization of cargo airlifting from Nairobi. to facilitate growth of the country’s exports. 
The authority says use of the Eldoret Airport by international airlines will play a catalytic role, in attracting exporters looking for more convenient routes, to target destinations. In 2017 Jomo Kenyatta International Airport loaded 223,000 tonnes in cargo traffic, accounting for 98 per cent of all commercial cargo airlifted from Kenya.
