DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv The HHS-2000 is the first reciprocating abrasion testing machine of its kind capable of continuously increasing and decreasing vertical load. The machine enables engineers to easily obtain slide abrasion data for one specimen in a single test, and it cuts the amount of time needed for testing and the time needed for analyzing complex data compared to previous abrasion testing machines. It also provides engineers with superior data. First manufactured in 2000, this machine can produce abrasion pattern graphs in just one day compared to one month required by other systems. The system makes it possible to analyze a substance from multiple perspectives, and possible measurement components include measuring load resistance using the load converter, and measuring abrasion volume with the displacement meter. The optional CCD camera TRIBO system makes it possible to analyze abrasion powder behavior and lubricant transfer. This abrasion testing machine has been used to test substances in numerous fields including the automotive and thin film industries, the food industry, and even the sports equipment industry. For example, the machine has been used to test the texture of spaghetti, the friction of string used for tennis racquets, and the texture of fabrics. This abrasion testing machine was developed in cooperation with Tohoku University's Hokkirigawa Research Center, and to date 50 machines have been sold, with annual sales running around 10 units.
