Fellow geeks, tech lovers, etc! Hi! This week I am covering the first ever 3D printed records, the first ever robotic LEGO band, text tracking, and electronic medical tattoos! 

Researchers from the University of Illinois developed a tattoo that is used for medical purposes! It is printed directly onto your skin and works like a regular computer with electrodes, sensors and wireless communications! It allows doctors to track symptoms, strain and hydration. The biggest use of this e-tatt is that it beams the information back to your doctor so you can avoid the repeated trips. They also naturally begin to rub off in couple weeks. 

The Police Force are requesting U.S. Law to keep track of American's text messages. This sounds way too Big Brother for me to handle. Phone carriers have various means of storing your text data, and so far it has been limited to the phone numbers associated with the text, not the message word for word, as this proposal would require. 

According to the European Commissions Joint Research Center, new browsing research examined from 16,000 Europeans suggest a positive link between online piracy and visits to legal music stores. According to the findings, the majority of music that is illegally listened to by the samples would not have purchased the albums if the websites were not available to them. Interesting!

The first 3D printed records are incredible, although their sound is not so perfect yet. But this is to be expected of course! They are printed on plastic, and each groove is said to be approximately 20 times the width of a regular vinyl record. The sound coming from them are muffled and choppy, but watching the development happen from a a 3D printer is very exciting. 

Finally, the world's first robotic LEGO band has arrived by the Italian music producer, Giuseppe Acito. He calls the band the Toa Mata Band, and each LEGO is rigged with rubber bands and pulleys, and their arms are controlled by an iPad software program running Nord Bead. It is well worth watching the video. They are both cute, and talented little plastic men!
