Several Total Shutdown marches were held across the country Wednesday, as part of the national shutdown against gender-based violence. Scores of women from small towns and major cities marched to various government facilities, calling for an end to gender-based violence. The women are demanding a national plan of action, from government, to end the violence. To talk to us about the shutdown we are joined in studio by Mandisa Khanyile, a member of the National steering committee for The Total Shutdown and Nondumiso Nsibande, Executive Director, Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre.
