Police investigate 20-year-old woman's death

FAIRFIELD, Ohio (Angenette Levy) -- A 20-year-old woman was found dead Sunday night but police wouldn't say how she died or whether her death is considered suspicious. 

Hamilton County Park Rangers found De'Asia Sims's body Sunday night near an entrance to the Bolton Water Works Plant. Sims's body was in Fairfield near the Hamilton County line. The water plant is near the area where a park ranger found Sims's car abandoned Friday night. Her belongings were inside the vehicle. Sims's mother, Seletta Wilson, said she last saw her daughter Friday morning when they went Christmas shopping. 

"After we wrapped the presents it was time for me to go to get the kids and she told me she was going to go meet her cousin in Hamilton," Wilson said. "I told her I loved her, she told me she loved me and I told her to be careful. And that was the last time I talked to my daughter." 

Wilson said she texted her daughter Friday night and didn't hear back from her which was unusual. Saturday morning, police notified her that her daughter's vehicle had been found. Wilson filed a missing persons report that day. She said her daughter was working two jobs and attending school to work as a dental assistant. Wilson believes someone took her daughter's life although police would not reveal details of the investigation. 

"She was a sweet, innocent girl and she did not deserve this," Wilson said. 

Wilson said she believes her daughter may have been going somewhere to meet her boyfriend. She told police she contacted the boyfriend and he claimed he hadn't seen Sims in a week. Monday night, Sims's family gathered at her Middletown home to console one another and to wait for answers. 

"If anybody knows what happened to my daughter would you please, please come forward," Wilson said. 

Seletta Wilson said she will meet with the Butler County Coroner Tuesday to discuss the results of the autopsy on her daughter.
